After years of working with a variety of Tasmanian businesses, I’m finding a niche in Tasmanian tourism, and more specifically in soft-adventure and argitourism photography. I’m often also commissioned to photograph crafts-people in their workshops where things are made by hand. Recently a whisky distiller, a master violin-maker and an industrial blacksmith who use traditional tools and techniques. These consistent themes that have evolved in my work are a manifestation of my interests, which make each project meaningful to me..
I primarily focus on lifestyle images of the products, spaces or experience that I’m photographing, and aim to evoke an emotional ‘I can picture myself there’ response. These are my favourite and the most rewarding images to create..
